While some people refuse to diet as a way of saying it is okay to be unhealthy, our point is that diets themselves can make one fat. You are absolutely right that if you are willing and determined anything is possible--that is precisely my point! We can have the healthy, energetic, slender bodies we deserve without resorting to fad diets (diets don't work) or killing ourselves at the gym for hours every day.

Avoiding packaged foods is a good first step for many on their weight loss journey. I do not propose "eliminating" any foods though because they do have a place in our lives, and eating some packaged foods is hard to avoid, especially as we move into fall and winter. You are right, many of them have little nutritional value. It is important to read labels when buying any packaged foods--even "healthy" versions which often contain a lot of chemicals and additives to extend their shelf life. Simple products such as peanut butter often have added sugar which is completely unnecessary. And just because a product is labeled "healthy" or "low fat" or is endorsed by a guru does not mean it is the best choice! Read and decide for yourself.

Many to refuse to do diet because they already preempt the result that no matter how they try to they can't achieve. It is all in their minds. But with this aphorism I beg to disagree because if you're just willing and determined to nothing is impossible.

Well, you know the saying...Great minds think alike...I think we should tweak it to be "Great minds think themselves thin!"

Well done losing so much weight and also realising that it's not about going on a diet but about altering your mindset! I write about this too on my web site.
